I suppose you can make any claim you want, but look around at what’s actually happening. Everyone uses windows on the desktop, and I’m pretty sure they actually do use it and don’t just boot up and sit there with no idea about what to do next.
An article about how Linux is light years from making it out of the server room and on to the desktop would be a lot more relevant and accurate.
I am assuming the article in question was meant to be read with a certain amount of humour. While it’s important to ask the question ‘is windows ready for the desktop’, the actual content of the article lead me to believe it was a piss-take.
