Baby announcement
October 27th, 2004 by HenI can happily announce that our newborn baby boy, Nathan Henri Yandell, was successfully delivered on Friday 22nd of October after 46 hours of time at the hospital: http://baby.yandell.org/.
I lost 7 pounds during the stay; forget atkins and try the worrying father diet.
Last night, we finally slept enough to feel refreshed the next day; having moved to an every 3 hours nightly feeding schedule and 2 hours in the day. We were feeding as much as possible to start with as the poor blighter was jaundiced.
In fact, he’s proving quite good at scaring us already and yet still passing the test at the last minute. He began by having problems feeding; with his blood sugar getting down worryingly low and yet managed to latch on and suckle enough to keep the force-fed glucose-water away. He followed that by refusing to urinate and coming within minutes of a catheter. I have some pride there after my suggestion to drop water on his privates worked superbly. Did it ever; an immediate fart, burp, oozing of a stool and while we were changing his diaper, one almighty pool of urine. Never has a wet blanket been greeted with such joy.
Lately he’s been worrying us on the jaundice. 18 is the magic number and he went from 10 to 14 on his first two days at home; but currently he’s staying at 14 and we’re hoping he’s peaked.
All in all, this is superb and I wish I didn’t have to head back to work when my vacation-time is used up.

Thanks for the well-wishes
On the dns, it would be cool if you could drop me an email {login bayard, domain generationjava.com} so I can try to resolve it.
Talking directly to both the primary and secondary nameservers seems to give the correct replies, so I’m currently at a loss as to why it’s not working. DNS caching should have long since stopped (I’ve updated ids and reloaded again just to make sure) and any kind of banning would be IP based and not DNS based I think.
